WelcomeCamden Valley Connections #8 Welcome to "Camden Valley Connections", helping you to make a better connection with Camden Valley Church in the beautiful Camden Valley. This week, have you been able to help the Toddler Team with their request? We also have another area in which you can support the Camden community - through the Turning Point Winter Appeal. At this coming Sunday's Service (28th April) there will be a dedication for Courtney and Rhett's son, Finan. Finally, we are also looking for more volunteers for our growing Kids and Toddlers ministries on Sunday mornings. If you can help introduce these little ones to Jesus, please see Kristy-Lee.
Next Monday (29th April), our Daily Bible Study, Foundations 260, will be up to Day 86. |
Can you help the Toddlers Program Team ?
Please consider donating your no longer used family items to the Toddlers program for the littlest members of our church to enjoy. We are looking for cleaned age appropriate resources such as: Mobilo, Jumblo A labeled container will be placed by the Welcoming hub for collection. Thank you kindly. The Toddler Team. |
Plastics Treaty
Last week Sam from Tearfund Australia (who visited us 2 years ago) delivered a lemon-aid package to Tanya Plibersek MP in Canberra. This package was an encouragement for the High Ambition Coalition (of which our Environment Minister is a member) to speak up and be heard at the next plastics treaty negotiations, occurring in Ottawa, Canada this week. A Tearfund team will be present at the negotiations. See our Prayer section below for ideas on how you can pray for these negotiations. You can follow updates on Tearfund's Instagram and Facebook pages. Click the button for more information on Tearfund's Rubbish Campaign. For more infomation visit:

Winter AppealCan you help ? Our friends at Turning Point are asking for support for their Winter Appeal which aids our marginalised - living between houses, staying with friends or family short term, or in their car. They are asking for donations of new socks for men, women and children, new fleece blankets, hand knitted blankets, scarves, beanies and toiletries (e.g. shampoo, conditioner, roll-on deodorant (plastic) and wet ones). They are always in need of non-perishable food items for their crisis pantry and gift cards from Woolworths or Coles to the value of $20. Donations can be dropped off during their operating hours Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10-2 or left on the front porch anytime. Click the button below for a list of the perishables they are in need of.

AlphaExplore Life, Faith and Meaning CV Church, in partnership with Exploring Tree, will be hosting the Alpha program in Term 3. The Alpha course is an evangelistic course which seeks to introduce the basics of the Christian faith through a series of talks and discussions. It is described by its organisers as "an opportunity to explore the meaning of life". The course will be run in third term on Sunday evenings 5pm, at Exploring Tree Macarthur. The evening is designed around a dinner meal, video and discussion. A childminding program will be available and the youth Alpha series of videos will be run as well. |
Water Baptism
Do you know something about water baptism but have questions that haven't been answered? What's it all about? What goes on during the baptism? It is for you? We have a discussion paper, titled "Water Baptism Camden Valley Church 2024.pdf", that can help you with some of these questions and is available by clicking the button below. If you would then like to go to the next step, speak to one of our pastors.
