See below for our Women's Events and to meet out CVC Children's Ministry Team. This Sunday (Feb 8) During our 8am Teaching Service this Sunday we will be learning about Noah. For the keen ones, the notes are already on the website. In the 10am Family Service there will be another Signup Sunday opportunity (where we will share some of the needs in our church and give you the opportunity to sign-up to assist in areas that you are willing and led) as well as a Finance February update. Tearfund Action Group This group is a mix between a Connect Group and a service group, with a heart for justice. Supported by Tearfund Australia, and in support of Tearfund Australia, we plan and deliver acts of service which will promote justice in our community and overseas. We are also interested in promoting sustainability. We usually meet monthly on the first Wednesday of the month from 7.30-9.30pm but will start the year on Wednesday 11th February, with some online training from Tearfund Australia. You are welcome to join us! Please speak to Heather Loomes. Nat corrected me following my previous newsletter - the Hutchings are no longer waiting, but are back in their home. Praise the Lord ! See Sue or I for their latest news. Staff contact details and Ways to Give to our church. |

8am Teaching ServiceCharacters of The Old Testament Last year we trialled an 8am service, looking at all things end times. This year we are going to continue to offer an interactive teaching service, and we will be looking at some of the significant Old Testament characters. Beginning with Adam and Eve, and including Noah, Moses, David……11 characters in total. We will be looking at the call of God, their strengths and weaknesses and their role in Gods story. You are warmly invited to join us. We started on February 1st, looking at Adam and Eve and this Sunday (Feb 8th) we are looking at Noah. Hardcopy notes will be provided each week and the sessions will be recorded and posted on our website. |

Jeremiah 33:3
Have you ever wondered why, just when you need Him most, God seems hard to find? Maybe you’ve prayed earnestly for direction, provision, or peace, only to feel like your prayers are hitting a ceiling. At these times, it’s easy to feel confused, hurt, or even angry! If God loves us, why would he hide from us? The Bible tells us that we certainly are not the first to feel this way! The prophet Isaiah also felt that God was silent and hidden centuries before Jesus was born. But what if what they interpreted as God’s silence wasn’t silence at all? Perhaps God isn’t hiding Himself from us, but rather working in ways so unexpected that we don’t actually believe or see His hand at work. |

CVC Children's Ministry Team
A big welcome to the new CVC Children's Ministry Team for 2026. We pray for them as they take up the mantle of helping our children to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus. Please pray for great team work, for consistency in their ministry and for your provision as they sacrificially give their time to this ministry. Please pray that our children will enjoy their time in Children's Ministry and be blessed by what they learn. |
