Welcome to CV Connect #16 of 2025Helping you better connect with Camden Valley Church Hello everyone, for the last time in 2025, We are finishing the year with two events. The first is our Carols Service this Sunday at 5pm at Mawarra School. We hope to see you and your family there for an exceptional night as we anticipate and celebrate the coming of the Lord. Remember this will replace our usual 10am service this Sunday. The second is our Christmas Day service at 9am where we can bring our worship to the new born king, Jesus, Emmanuel. DON'T FORGET - all offerings received at the Carols Service and on Christmas Day will go to the work of the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary who support locals in need of food via the Sisters’ food ministry, Manna from Heaven. The Sisters will be at our Carols Service. Thanks for your contribution to this local appeal. On the following Sunday, December 28, we will take time off and not have a service. To kick off 2026, our first service will be on Jan 4 (just before many of us return to work). Our first 2026 Community Event will be on Australia Day - see below. Thanks to those who have made purchases at Tearfund's Useful Gift Shop this year. Your gifts will bless those in need across the globe through Tearfund’s partners. May God bless you as you have been a blessing to others.

Community Engagement
Save the Date Australia Day, January 26th 2026, from 9am-9.45am It is exciting to confirm that CVC Community Engagement Team are leading the organisation of the Australia Day Community Prayer Service to be held in Camden Civic Centre on Australia Day. Please set aside a short time on Australia Day from 9-9.45am to pray with other churches and community members for Australia, Macarthur Region and Camden. You will then be poised to join in the Australia Day parade on Argyle St Camden which begins at 10am.
The prayer service will be a great opportunity to show unity across Christian churches in Camden and to lift our combined prayers to our Heavenly Father. This service has been run over many years in Camden, recently coordinated by Doug Ferris who reached out to our Community Engagement Team to broaden the organisation team for the event. The service used to be part of Camden Council’s program of Civic events for Australia Day but Council has now shifted its civic events to Friday 23rd January. Please make a note in your diaries to join our community in prayer on Australia Day, 2026. Enquiries to Heather Loomes |
